Code of Conduct
Please review our Code of Conduct below before registering as a dancer for the event.

Fees and security deposits are to be paid by due date. Registration fees are NON-REFUNDABLE; however, the costume security deposit is refunded once all the borrowed items are returned as instructed.
The dancer registration fees include:
1. Magyar Gala entrance ticket and supper
2. Dancers of the Palotás may borrow the traditional costumes, which are owned by the HVA.

Punctuality at rehearsals and at the Gala event is a must. Consistent attendance is essential for a successful performance. Notifying the instructors of an absence is courteous. Should absenteeism deemed to be too many for satisfactory performance at the Gála; dismissal of a dancer is a possibility.

The Gala website and social media sites are updated regularly. It is the dancers’ responsibility to stay informed.
The Family Day long weekend involves consecutive two-day rehearsals. Usually Sunday and Monday.

The dancers are expected to be respectful and kind to everyone involved with the Gala. Inappropriate conduct or language is not appropriate.

The dance instructors will make partner assignments as they see fit to best benefit the dancers involved.
Requests for partnering will be considered, but not necessarily implemented.

Dancers must follow the dress code outlined in their Information Pamphlet which are handed out at the Open House. Instructors will provide further information as needed.
Debutante ladies are expected to remain in their debutante gowns for the duration of the Gala

There is a full-dress rehearsal on the Thursday evening before the Gala. This rehearsal is mandatory for all dancers.

The dancers are expected at the venue site usually by noon.
